Graphic Designer & Design SpecialistWe are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as a Graphic Designer & Design Specialist.

Graphic design experience is a must and, since this team player will be working with customers, excellent interpersonal skills are also important.

The right individual will be a quick study, professional, motivated, anxious to learn, able to work fairly independently but as part of a team, aggressive, and want to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Prepress set-up in the most recent versions of Adobe-based programs (Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator & PhotoShop) for both Mac & PC, Quark Express for both Mac & PC, and Microsoft products (Word, PowerPoint & Publisher); operating on Windows XP and Mac OSX

· Strong InDesign skills preferred

· Communicating with customers (telephone & written)

· Consistent follow-up on production activity

· Developing and maintaining accurate customer files based on production workflow

· Learning and developing a team attitude to help meet and exceed the goals of each profit center: digital color and B&W printing, offset printing and design services

· Developing as a team player, critical to the production process and the profitability of the company

Qualifications:

· Knowledge of Adobe-based platforms (Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator & PhotoShop) for both Mac & PC, Quark Express for both Mac & PC, Microsoft products (Word, PowerPoint & Publisher), and Windows XP and Mac OSX operating systems

· Ability to work in a high-production, design-for-print environment; ability to multi-task and to concentrate amid distractions

· Energetic self-starter, driven to succeed; anxious to learn, and likes to show initiative

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including grammar, spelling & punctuation

· Ability to type quickly and accurately

· Maintain a consistent professional appearance

· Ability and willingness to learn new software and hardware technologies

· Ability to interact with others regarding design requirements

· Ability to combine creativity with practical production mentality

· Excellent customer service skills

· Ability to work flexible hours and overtime, when necessary

· Experience with imagesetting and digital prepress preferred
